Choose a Next Step with Actions and Alerts
Turn a signal into a small task, without confusing a suggestion with a completed fix.
Work through the sections below to complete setup and checks, then use the top search to jump into related help docs when needed.
Where to find suggestions
Start with Recommended Actions in Overview. The newer workspace also offers Diagnose → GEO Opportunities and Monitor → Alerts. If those entries are missing from your menu, use the overview recommendations first.
- 1Pick the correct project and time range.
- 2Read the suggested action and its reason. Expected impact is an estimate, not a promise.
- 3Choose one small action you can verify, such as fixing an unclear product page.
Create a task, then do the work
Add To-do creates an action task; it does not automatically fix your website or publish an article. Open the created task, review what is needed, and complete the work before marking it done.
- 1Use Add To-do on the suggestion you want to work on.
- 2Review the task and finish the actual content or website change.
- 3Use Mark Done only when the work is done; a completed task does not guarantee improved AI visibility.
Read an alert as a clue
The newer Alerts page groups signals such as lost citations, falling SOV, competitor gains, and new opportunities. It is an in-app view based on tracked data, not evidence of an automatic email or Slack notification subscription.
- 1Start with important alerts, then follow the button to citations or competitors.
- 2Check missing-data warnings before interpreting a drop.
- 3Compare the underlying answers before changing content. An alert points to something to inspect, not a proven cause.
